About The Project
Telstra are upgrading the transmission network between Launceston exchange and Waterhouse exchange. The 70m Telstra tower located in Waterhouse is to be upgraded to an 80m tower.
Mendelssohn Construction worked with Pfeiffer Cranes to dismantle this tower for disposal. The tower had to be deconstructed carefully into numerous sections for safe demolition on ground and recycling/ disposal.
Services and demolition
Mendelssohn Construction were able to provide the services and skills to achieve the scope within the agreed timeframes whilst maintaining a safe work area for all employees and the public. These services included;
- Major crane works
- High level rigging and demolition
- Dismantling by excavator on ground

- Tight access and laydown areas
- Night works
